Morris McLachlan - Industry Professional

Morris McLachlan has been the owner and operator of the Waskesiu Marina Adventure Centre for the past 17 years. He is dedicated to making the marina a place for visitor to have fun and explore, while remaining respectful of the natural environment. He taught Entrepreneurship and Small Business classes at SIIAST, where he helped students write business plans and learn skills such as marketing and economics in Saskatchewan. His tip for accomplishing goals is to make a list every day, prioritize the tasks, and the complete them. Good customer service practices and meeting employee needs are a priority. His advice for future business operators is to understand that success often relies on employees. They often have the most direct interaction with visitors, and play a huge part in creating a great experience. When employees are encouraged and motivated, they will be the businesses best ambassadors.
