Rec and com committee

Another major aspect of being apart of the program is the Recreation and Community Development program is our committee that is assigned to the class. There are departments such as treasurer who looks after the class funds and cheques for events or outstanding expenses, there is the president who hosts the meetings and goes through the agenda as well as being in charge of a few topics, there is the SPSA representative that attends meetings hosted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic and they get details about information happening in and around Saskatchewan Polytechnic, they get insights into events Sask Polytech is hosting and they get to go our for a free supper! There is the secretary who writes meeting minutes and sets up the agenda, there is the vice president who helps the main president take care of things, there is the fundraising committee who comes up with ideas for fundraising for graduation, and there is the social and birthday committee who sets up social gatherings outside of class time for classmates to have fun and interact without focusing so much on school. For birthdays there are ways to be creative and make something that people can take cherished memories away from the program. Each year these roles change and people can sign up or be nominated by the class on what

position they would like to take on.
