FALL CAMP!
The best way to start off the school year is by spending a week camping. The Recreation and Community Development students decided to leave the classroom, pack up their gear, and high tail it to Christopher Lake.
The week began with plenty of canoeing, kayaking, and stand up paddleboarding. Many of us worked our way towards a Paddle Canada certification in one chosen water activity. In the evenings, we took part in fire building activities, animal awareness, and camp safety procedures. We worked on team-building with a low ropes course, and participating in relay challenges. Towards the end of the week we packed all of our gear into canoes and paddled to an island to tent for the night.
Every day was filled with lots of fun, learning, and plenty of delicious food!
